Oct 31 | Men's Basketball
PISCATAWAY – Single game Rutgers men's basketball tickets for the Big Ten contests go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 1) at 9 a.m. to the general public. Fans have the opportunity to support the Scarlet Knights 17 times at the RAC in 2018-19, comprised of 10 conference match-ups, as well as multiple games against regional foes.
Five Big Ten programs that have won NCAA men's basketball titles will compete in Piscataway, including five-time national champion Indiana. Also visiting the RAC are metro rival St. John's, 2018 NCAA Finalist Michigan, preseason No. 10 Michigan State and Ohio State. The Scarlet Knights open their 112th season of collegiate basketball versus regional foe Fairleigh Dickinson next Friday (Nov. 9; 7 p.m.). An extensive promotional calendar supplements the experience.
Under the leadership of third-year head coach Steve Pikiell, Rutgers returns seven scholarship lettermen, including a pair of 2017-18 redshirts, from a team that advanced to the 2018 Big Ten Conference quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden. The Scarlet Knights also welcome a signing class that includes multiple four-star players for the first time since 2008.
Fans can secure single game tickets, flex ticket plans and season tickets online, or by calling 866-445-GORU (4678). Additional information can obtained by visiting RutgersGameday.com. Rutgers letterwinners and faculty/staff receive a 30% discount on season tickets, while new alumni and graduate students are eligible for a 40% discount.
For the third straight year, men's basketball has experienced an increase in paid season tickets. For 2018-19 (as of 10/24/18), there is an 8% increase in season tickets sold.
