Rexrode and Heningburg named All-ECAC

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse had two players earn all-region honors as the All-ECAC teams were announced Wednesday. Michael Rexrode was named First Team All-ECAC on defense, while Jules Heningburg was Second Team All-ECAC on attack.
This is Rexrode's second straight All-ECAC honor, having been named Second Team All-ECAC last season. RU has now had six representatives on the All-ECAC teams in the past four years.
Rexrode was previously named Third Team All-American, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten. A recipient of the 2018 Big Ten Medal of Honor, Rexrode had 25 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. The Leesburg, Va. native has started all 15 games on defense in his career, with 111 ground balls and 55 caused turnovers. The two-time team captain is also a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award and was a Second Round draft pick by the Florida Launch.
Heningburg, a First Team All-Big Ten and Second Team All-American attackman, led the team with 37 goals, 35 assists and 72 points this season. The Tewaaraton Award Semifinalist finished his career second all-time at Rutgers in points (207), seventh in goals (117) and eighth in assists (90). The Maplewood, N.J. native paced the Big Ten in assists and points both overall, and in conference games (12 assists and 23 points in five conference games). A two-time team captain, he was a First Round draft pick by the Florida Launch.
