
Men's Lacrosse Has 20 Student-Athletes earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Big Ten Conference recognized twenty Rutgers men's lacrosse student-athletes on the 2018 Spring Academic All-Big Ten list, as announced by the league office.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must have been enrolled fulltime at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Rutgers' redshirt senior Christian Mazzone earned the accolade for the fourth time in his career. Seven players (Adam Charalambides, Austin Divitcos, Joe Francisco, Steve Hillenbrand, Liam King, Michael Rexrode and Casey Rose) earn the honor for the third time in their career. Four others (Mark Christiano, Max Edelmann, Alex Schoen and Connor Vercruysse) were recognized for a second time.
The 20 Academic All-Big Ten selections is a program record since joining the conference, improving on last year's mark of 16. In the four years as a Big Ten member, Rutgers has earned 65 Academic All-Big Ten selections.
Among the honorees are 11 seniors. This year's senior class, in addition to winning 35 games on the field in their careers, held a combined cumulative GPA over 3.0.
