
Volleyball Concludes Tourney Season at UConn's Dog Pound Challenge

Scarlet Knights will face host Huskies, St. John's and Holy Cross
STORRS, Conn. (Sept. 13, 2018) - Rutgers volleyball hits the road for its final invitational of the season at UConn's Dog Pound Challenge on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14 and 15. With Big Ten play set to open at Maryland on Wednesday, Rutgers brings a 5-5 record into its final three non-conference matches.

KNIGHT NOTES
• The Scarlet Knights are ranked fourth in the NCAA with 3.07 blocks per set through matches played on Sept. 11. They come in second in the Big Ten behind national leader Penn State's mark of 3.45. Rutgers has outblocked all but one opponent this season en route to already matching its win total from 2017 at 5-5.
• Leading the charge is junior middle Stasa Miljevic, whose 1.50 blocks per set also has her name appearing in the NCAA statistical rankings with a 13th place national standing as of Sept. 11.
• Rutgers has set three school records early in the 2018 season. All records are from the 25-point rally-scoring era beginning in 2008.

• Freshman setter Inna Balyko earned the program's first Big Ten weekly award with a Freshman of the Week honor for the period ending Sept. 2. At the Crosstown Tournament at Lehigh and Lafayette, the Russia native posted two double-doubles, averaging 10.21 assists and totaling 14 blocks while directing Rutgers' .271 attack percentage.
• Freshman outside hitter Tali Marmen joined the roster last week following a stint with the Israel National Team in the 2018 European Silver League. The 6-foot-2 hitter ranked ninth in the Euro League with 2.79 kills per set, and has also led her club team Maccabi XT Haifa to the 2018 Israeli National Championship. She averaged 3.0 kills per set in her two matches played at the Rutgers Invitational.
• Senior outside hitter Sahbria McLetchie posted Rutgers' second highest hitting percentage in a single match (.706 vs. Rider on 9/1) since 25-point rally-scoring began in
'08. She also had a career-high four solo blocks at Lehigh and accounted for 53 points on a .398 attack percentage, four aces and six total blocks at the Lehigh/Lafayette tourney.
• Junior middle Jasmine Stackhouse was named to the Rutgers Invitational All-Tournament team with 26 kills on a .426 hitting percentage and 14 blocks. She accounted for 33 points during the weekend, ranking second on the team. Stackhouse ranks
21st nationally with her season .417 hitting percentage.
• Junior libero Karysa Swackenberg notched her second career 20-dig match with a career-high 24 against Colgate in the season opener. Since, she has paced Rutgers in the dig department in each of the last three matches, averaging 3.06 per set on the season.
