PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Dr.
Kristina Navarro, Rutgers University Senior Associate Athletic Director for Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships, announced the additions of
Mike Salm,
Matt Muh,
Jackie Kelly and
Christine DiLullo to the Rutgers Leadership Academy staff.
Salm will serve as the Director for Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships, while Muh joins the staff as a Big Ten Intern. Additionally, Kelly comes on board as the Coordinator for Student-Athlete Engagement and Welfare, while DiLullo is welcomed as an Intern and Coordinator for Career and Employee Relations.
"I am thrilled to welcome this group to the Rutgers Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships Team," said Dr. Navarro. "Mike brings a wealth of knowledge to Rutgers on data driven programmatic design and global partnerships while Matt has extensive experience with SAAC, leadership and alumni engagement/fundraising. Both will be instrumental as we continue to grow and expand the Rutgers Leadership Academy programs."
"Jackie will lead the charge for community service and engagement, drawing on her expertise from working at the NCAA office in leadership development. Christine will help us explore corporate partnerships and employee relationships, benefiting our student-athletes as they pursue career fields."

Salm will coordinate the implementation of programs within the Rutgers Leadership Academy specifically focused on global engagement, community partnerships, leadership programming, SAAC and community service. This position will also provide support for fundraising efforts directly related to the Division of Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships.
Salm arrives "On the Banks" from Arizona State, where he worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student-Athlete Development. He established the "Its a Big World, Post-Graduate Scholarship Program for Student-Athletes," a program that included a strategic partnership between the Office of Student-Athlete Development and ASU's Office of National Scholarship Advisement with the attempt to more intentionally expose student-athletes to and prepare them for world class post-graduate scholarship opportunities.
Prior to his time at ASU, Salm was a student-athlete on the men's soccer team at UW-Whitewater. Salm served as the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Warhawk Leadership Academy. As President, he led the development of a comprehensive data driven leadership and community outreach program.
Salm presented with Dr. Navarro at the 2016 NASPA National Conference & NCAA national office and at NACDA/N4A 2016 as recipient of the 2016 Model Practice in Student-Athlete Development Award.
Additionally, he was chosen as a representative to attend the 2015 NCAA Career in Sports Forum, 2016 NCAA Leadership Development Forum, and 2018 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.
Salm is a graduate of the Critical Language Institute, a program jointly funded by the State Department and Department of Defense to learn languages of critical importance for the United States.
On the field for UW-Whitewater Men's Soccer, Salm recovered from two knee surgeries to captain the team to a third straight NCAA tournament appearance. He graduated from UW-Whitewater with a B.S. in Education in May 2017 and is currently working towards a Master in Sport Law & Business at Arizona State University.

Muh will gain experience in alumni relations, fundraising, donor relations, leadership training and event management while providing support to the Varsity R and Letterwinners Association & Division of Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships.
Muh was a four-year letterwinner and quarterback at Bucknell University, where he collected All-Patriot League Academic Team honors twice in his career.
Additionally, Muh was a member of the Bucknell Football Leadership Program. He took part in fundraising events for the football program and helped with efforts to improve alumni outreach for athletics fundraising under associate AD Todd Newcomb.
Muh graduated from Bucknell with a dual degree in political science and geography in May 2018. He will begin working towards a Master's in the Rutgers Global Sport Business program this fall.

Kelly comes on board as Coordinator for Student-Athlete Engagement and Welfare.
The Staten Island, New York, native was a four-year starter and two-year captain on the University of Hartford's softball team. Kelly completed a post-graduate internship with the Leadership Development unit at the NCAA national office, where she was primarily responsible for assisting with creating professional development programming for student-athletes, coaches, interns, graduate assistants and administrators across the NCAA institutions.
Most recently, Kelly was a graduate assistant at UConn for the Husky Sport program and had various roles within the intercollegiate athletic Student-Athlete Success Program.
Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science in management with a minor in marketing from Hartford, going on to graduate with a Master's Degree in Sport Management from UConn.

DiLullo joins the staff as an intern and will serve as the Coordinator for Career and Employee Relations.
A two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, DiLullo was one of three captains of the Rutgers women's lacrosse team in 2018. This past season, DiLullo was second on the team with 32 ground balls and caused six turnovers while starting all 17 games on defense for the Scarlet Knights as a redshirt junior. DiLullo has appeared in 49 career games during her time "On the Banks", including 38 starts. A Communications major, DiLullo interned with Athletic Director Pat Hobbs this past summer, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the athletic department.
A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, DiLullo aspires towards a career in athletic administration.
