Men's XC Gears Up for the Metropolitan Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's cross country gears up for the 2019 Metropolitan Championships on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The men's race is slated for an 11:30 a.m. ET start.
Rutgers was last in action on September 28 at the Ohio State Invite, hosted at the site of this year's Big Ten Cross Country Championships. For the third straight invite of the year, senior Cole Pschunder led the Scarlet Knights across the finish line with a time of 25:31.8.
Junior Patrick Walsh followed with a time of 25:48.9. Classmate Billy Hill rounded out the top three finishers for RU with a mark of 26:18.1. As a team, the Scarlet Knights finished eighth in the field.
Rutgers finished in the top two of its races prior, claiming the title at the Fordham Fiasco. That race was also hosted at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
The Scarlet Knights compete at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 19.
