A'nan Bridgett of Rutgers men's track and field collected a silver medal in the long jump to highlight day two of the 2019 Big Ten Outdoor Championships.

PODIUM FINISHES
Bridgett finished second in the long jump with a result of 7.47m (24' 6.25"). It marked his second Big Ten medal after earning bronze in the long jump at the indoor championships in February.

On Friday, graduate student
Chris Mirabelli registered a throw of 71.83m (235' 8") to top the field, marking his third Big Ten title in the event. Redshirt-junior
Greg Harnett finished fifth with a personal-best throw of 65.30m (214' 3") followed by classmate
Michael Thomas in seventh with his own PR of 61.87m (203'). Overall, the three Scarlet Knight podium finishes in the javelin totaled 16 points for RU.

TRACK EVENTS
Sophomore
Taj Burgess advanced to the finals of the 400m, clocking a time of 46.39 to finish first in his heat and second overall.

Classmate
Eric Barnes led the Scarlet Knights in the 800m trials, clocking a time of 1:55.37. Sophomore
Billy Hill posted a time of 1:57.55 followed by senior
Edward Zaleck with a result of 1:58.32 and junior
Sean Martinek with a mark of 1:58.33.

FIELD EVENTS
Rainy conditions sent the high jump event indoors. Junior
Perry Christie finished just off the podium with a jump of 2.08m (6' 9.75"). Senior
Jordan Lorenzo recorded a mark of 1.98m (6' 6") in the event.

In the long jump, sophomore
Malachi Davis registered a leap of 6.85m (22' 5.75"). Junior
Patrick Warren followed with a mark of 6.77m (22' 2.5"), while senior
Jairus Paul recorded a result of 6.50m (21' 4").

Freshman
Kamron Kobolak registered a mark of 15.08m (49' 5.75") in the shot put.
