PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer has released its schedule for the 2019 campaign. The slate includes nine NCAA qualifiers, 14 teams that finished in the top 100 RPI, and seven programs that ended 2018 ranked or receiving votes.

The 11-match home schedule features six Big Ten contests and five nonconference matchups at Yurcak Field, including four conference champions from the Big Ten, NEC, Ivy League and CAA, respectively.

Prior to the regular season, Rutgers will host two scrimmages, welcoming St. John's on August 12 and Syracuse on August 17.

RU then opens 2018 with five straight home matches, starting with NEC Champion, Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Scarlet Knights then host Fordham (Aug. 25), Tennessee (Aug. 29), Providence (Sept. 1), and Hofstra (Sept. 5).

The first road test of the year is set for Sept. 7 at Princeton followed by the nonconference finale on Sept. 15 at Delaware.

On Sept. 20, Rutgers kicks off its Big Ten campaign at home with reigning tournament champion, Minnesota, in a 7 p.m. match. The remaining home conference matchups include Wisconsin (Sept. 22), Maryland (Sept. 28), Northwestern (Oct. 6), Purdue (Oct. 17), and Indiana (Oct. 20).

RU's conference road slate begins with Penn State (Oct. 3) followed by Iowa (Oct. 11), Nebraska (Oct. 13), Michigan (Oct. 24), and Michigan State (Oct. 27) to complete the regular season.

Last year, Rutgers posted an overall record of 11-4-6, its seventh straight season with 11 or more victories. The squad registered a Big Ten record of 7-1-3, with a 4-0-1 mark at Yurcak Field, propelling the Scarlet Knights to their highest finish in the conference as the runner-up for the regular season title.

Qualifying for its fifth straight conference tournament since joining the league in 2014, Rutgers earned its highest seed to date at No. 2 and hosted a quarterfinal for the third time. The Scarlet Knights earned a bid to their seventh straight NCAA Tournament, ninth in the last 11 years and 13th time overall.

Overall, the lineup produced seven All-Big Ten honorees, the most in program-history, as well as an All-American, four all-region selections, and 13 Academic All-Big Ten student-athletes.

Admission and parking registration for Rutgers women's soccer home contests at Yurcak Field is free for fans. Information on television and web stream broadcasts and game day promotions will be announced at a later date.
