Meet 9: Gymnastics Set to Compete in Tri-Meet at West Virginia

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics remains on the road with a trip to West Virginia on Sunday, March 1. The tri-meet, which features host WVU and Pittsburgh, will begin at 2 p.m. ET in Morgantown.

Following three consecutive meets on the road, Rutgers returns home on Friday, March 6. The quad meet will be hosted at the College Avenue Gym and will feature West Chester, Southern Connecticut State and Cornell.

| KNIGHT NOTES |
- Rutgers competed at the Big Five meet on podium last Friday night at Elevate the Stage, setting a new school record with a team score of 49.225 on vault.
- Senior Kaitlyn Hall and junior Toni Williams each recorded career-highs on vault at 9.875 to help establish the new team standard in the event.
- Freshman Hannah Joyner finished second on beam with a mark of 9.900, reaching a 9.9 for the sixth time this season. She also finished fourth in the all-around with a 39.325, which included a season-high 9.775 on bars, a 9.825 on vault, and a 9.825 on floor.
- Joyner currently ranks 10th in the nation on beam with an NQS of 9.910.
- The team score on vault eclipsed a mark of 49.200 set in February of 2014 for the record. Additionally, the Scarlet Knights have posted the second-highest road score in history (195.700 – Jan. 31) and second-best beam score (49.200 – Jan. 31) this season.
- With the trip to West Virginia, head coach Umme Salim-Beasley returns to her alma mater, where she recorded a decorated career as a Mountaineer from 1995 to 1998.
