
Women’s Lacrosse Hosts Saint Joseph’s Saturday

Scarlet Knights look for 3-0 start at home
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – After its two-game road swing, Rutgers women's lacrosse (4-1) returns home to host Saint Joseph's (2-2) on Saturday at SHI Stadium. The 3 p.m. matchup is the second of a scheduled doubleheader with the men's program, who hosts Stony Brook at noon. Both games will stream live via BTNPlus.
Parking Information
The Rutgers Department of Transportation Services (DOTs) employs a Virtual Parking Pass system on campus. While parking for non-ticketed sports, including women's lacrosse, is free of charge, guest event parking will require a one-time, online registration per sport good for an entire season (August - May). What to Know
• The Scarlet Knights enter Saturday after their first loss of the season, as they dropped a tight 11-9 game at No. 12 UPenn on Wednesday in Philadelphia. RU held the Quakers to its lowest goal total of the season and were tied with its ranked opponent with less than 12 minutes to play before the home team used a 5-3 scoring run to hold on for the win.
• Rookie netminder Alonna Gliksman produced a career-high 15 saves and allowed just 11 goals despite seeing a season-high 41 shots from UPenn. Gliksman, who is 4-1 in cage for Rutgers during her first collegiate season, is within the Top 30 nationally in saves (seventh, 55), save percentage (11th, .534), saves per game (13th, 11.00) and goals-against average (29th, 9.86).
• Junior Taralyn Naslonski is tied for the Big Ten Conference lead and is 17th nationally with 16 goals through her first five games. The Randolph, New Jersey, native has scored multiple goals in four of her first five games this season, including a season-high six scores at Marist on Feb. 22 in Poughkeepsie, New York.
• Rookie Cassidy Spilis has also enjoyed an impressive start to her collegiate career. The Tabernacle, New Jersey, native is second on the team with 15 goals this season and has scored multiple goals in all five games. Spilis owns three games of three or more goals, including a hat trick in the Scarlet Knights' last game against UPenn.
• Rutgers is off to its best start to a season since 2010, when the Scarlet Knights began 5-0. Head coach Melissa Lehman has produced the best start for a first-year head coach in program history.
• Ten rookies have seen action during the first month of the season, which includes five in the starting lineup.
Scouting Saint Joseph's
• The Hawks enter Saturday with a 2-2 record, which includes a 17-7 victory at Temple on Wednesday. Senior Bridget Cerciello set a new career high with six goals to lead Saint Joseph's to the win.
• Stephanie Kelly leads the team with 13 points (9 G, 4 A) while Cerciello leads in goals with 12. Mikala Davis has been the primary goalkeeper for the Hawks with 32 saves, a .381 save percentage and a 13.83 goals-against average.
• Alex Kahoe enters her sixth year as the head coach of Saint Joseph's with a record of 50-45 at the helm.
Series History
• Rutgers owns an impressive 16-0 record in its all-time series with Saint Joseph's. The programs last met on March 21, 2012, an 8-7 win for the Scarlet Knights in Piscataway.
