Scarlet Knights meet the Terrapins for second straight weekend at home
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics remains home to host Maryland on Saturday, Jan. 30, marking the Scarlet Knights Big Ten "United as One" meet. Competition is set to start at 1 p.m. ET at the RAC.

Saturday's Big Ten dual meet will mark Rutgers' "United as One" meet, a campaign initiative in support of the B1G Stand Against Hate task force. The team will be wearing Rutgers United t-shirts, which the Scarlet Knights have tie dyed to signify their support for all people.
"United As One" is among several conference-wide Equality Coalition initiatives dedicated to constructively and collectively recognizing and eliminating racism and hate in our society by creating resources for inclusion, empowerment and accountability. All events at Rutgers Athletics indoor competition venues will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on indoor gatherings. As a result, gymnastics meets will not be open to the public this season.
Rutgers travels to Nebraska for its first road meet of the year on Sunday, Feb. 7. Start time is set for 5 p.m. ET in Lincoln.

| KNIGHT NOTES |
- Rutgers opened its 2021 season last weekend with a tri-meet against Illinois and Maryland at the RAC. It marked first of three meetings between RU and UMD this year.
- Six Scarlet Knights made their collegiate debuts for RU, including Stephanie Zannella, Kieran Ross, Avery Balser, Calah Newman, Myra Daniels, and Emily Wood.
- Senior captain Belle Huang led RU in the all-around with a 38.975, finishing third in the meet. She placed first on beam and floor with identical marks of 9.875.
- Newman competed all-around in her first collegiate appearance, finishing fourth in the tri-meet.
- Balser led the Scarlet Knights on bars with a mark of 9.775, also producing a 9.775 on floor as well in her first collegiate outing.
