Knapton & Trueb Compete at USA Diving Winter Nationals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Two members of the Rutgers diving team were in action this past week at the 2021 USA Diving Winter National Championships at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatics Center.
Reigning Big Ten Diver of the Year Abigail Knapton placed third in women's synchronized platform, joined teammate Savana Trueb in competing in the platform final and also reached the final on 3M.
Knapton and her diving partner, Janie Boyle from the University of Texas, scored 462.84 to place third in women's synchronized platform. A 2020 US Olympic Trials and 2021 NCAA Championship finalist on both 3M and platform, Knapton also reached the finals in both events at Winter Nationals. On 3M, the two-time Big Ten Diver of the Week finished 11th with a final score of 496.35, while on platform she took ninth scoring 542.55.
Trueb, the Rutgers record holder on platform, moved up one place during finals to take seventh with a score of 547.25.
