Tennis to Host Maryland on Friday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis has rescheduled its match with Maryland for Friday, April 2. Match time is set for 1 p.m. ET at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. Live results and a live stream of each court will be available.

The Scarlet Knights spilt their last weekend out with a 4-3 win at Indiana and a 4-1 setback at Purdue. Juniors Tess Fisher and Sydney Kaplan, and redshirt-senior Jaci Cochrane recorded singles victories in the win at Indiana. In doubles action, the duo of freshman Alisa Prinyarux and Fisher, and the pair of freshman Daira Cardenas and Cochrane each added wins to claim the team doubles point for an early 1-0 lead.

In the match at Purdue, Cardenas claimed a singles victory for Rutgers. Prinyarux and Fisher added a doubles win at the No. 2 spot as well.

STATEMENT ON ATTENDANCE

All events at Rutgers Athletics venues for the 2020-21 competition year will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on indoor and outdoor public gatherings. As a result, tennis home matches will not be open to the public this season. Access to tennis matches will be limited to athletes, coaches, trainers and other necessary game day personnel.
