- Graduate Student Gabrielle Callaway still tops the stat sheet for the Scarlet Knights entering the series hitting .320 leading the team in hits (33), doubles (7), home runs (4) and RBIs (15). The RU first baseman is among the league's top ten in hits and has at least one hit in 10 of the last 11 contests.
- Sophomore Payton Lincavage, meanwhile, leads RU with 19 runs scored and is second behind Callaway in hits with 30. She is batting .309 with four doubles, two home runs, and 11 RBIs and has hit safely in the last five contests.
- Classmate Kiersten Withstandley leads the Scarlet Knights with 12 runs batted in and has also registered 18 hits.
- Sophomore Ashley Hitchcock leads RU in innings pitched with 93.2 innings inside the circle in 25 appearances. In her 17 starts, she has collected four complete games and has totaled 59 strikeouts.
- Iowa comes to New Jersey at 16-16 coming off a 1-3 series record at No. 24 Minnesota last weekend.
- Freshman Denali Loecker leads the Hawkeyes batted .346 on the year leading her squad with seven doubles and 15 RBIs along with tying for the team lead in hits (27) and home runs (7).
- Sophomore Nia Carter, meanwhile has scored 13 runs with 27 hits and 10 RBIs hitting .290.
- Senior right-hander Allison Doocy is 6-4 on the year in her 13 appearances with a 2.24 ERA. In her 13 appearances, she has made 10 starts with six complete games. She has fanned 70 opponents to date.
- Fellow senior righty Sarah Lehman leads the Hawkeye pitching staff with 78.1 innings inside the circle with a 5-6 record. She has captured a complete game in all 10 of her starts. She holds a 2.32 ERA with 60 strikeouts.
- Rutgers took the series finale at Ohio State last weekend. In the 6-5 victory, the Scarlet Knights snapped a 10-game slide to come back in the top of the seventh for the victory. It marked the second come back for the Scarlet Knights in the seventh this season. Rutgers also defeated Purdue the first weekend of the season down in Leesburg, Florida for a 6-5 win after trailing 5-2 heading into their final at bat.
- RU swung for eight hits, the most by the team since recording 10 hits against Nebraska back on April 3 in a 10-6 victory at home.
- Graduate student Kiana Workman hit the ball into shallow right to send home the game-winning run. Workman, her third hit of the series, posted her fifth RBI of the weekend scoring pinch runner Gabrielle Hendri, for her second run of the year.
- Graduate student Izzy Berouty picked up the win in game four, her third of the 2021 campaign In the victory, she tossed three innings allowing three hits and no runs. Altogether, Berouty made appearances in all four contests working 11.2 innings.
- Payton Lincavage led the offense in Columbus last weekend going 5-for-10 at the plate and recording four RBIs and a run.
- Fellow classmate Kiersten Withstandley, meanwhile, went 4-for-10 with three runs scored. She also added a double and a run batted in.
- Gabrielle Callaway, whose nine-game hit streak came to a close in game two with the Buckeyes, along with sophomore Kayla Bock each registered a trio of runs in the four-game series.
- The Rutgers softball team hosts Maryland for its final home series beginning on Friday, May 7. Senior Day will be celebrated followed the doubleheader on Saturday, May 8.  Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, fan attendance at the Rutgers Softball Complex is limited to two tickets allotted to each student-athlete.
