Glatz, Larmour (First Team); Redlingshofer (Third Team) Recognized by NFHCA
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers field hockey had three student-athletes named All-Americans, as was announced by the NFHCA in their end-of-season virtual awards show. Gianna Glatz and Katie Larmour were named First Team All-Americans, while Milena Redlingshoefer was named a Third Team All-American.
This represents the first time that Rutgers ever has had three All-Americans in the same season. It marks the first time that RU has had a player reach First Team All-American status since Heather Jones in 1993.
Glatz earns her second career All-American accolade after she was named a Third Team All-American last season. This season, Glatz was previously named the Mid-Atlantic Regional Player of the Year, First Team All-Region and First Team All-Big Ten. Glatz posted a 1.01 goals-against average, .783 save percentage and five shutouts. One of just two goalkeepers on the first team, the Medford, N.J. native was also a finalist for National Player of the Year.
Larmour was previously a First Team All-Region and First Team All-Big Ten selection. The Belfast, Ireland native posted two goals and a team-high seven assists for 11 points from the midfield.
Redlingshoefer was previously a First Team All-Region and Second Team All-Big Ten selection. The Munich, Germany native led the team with six goals and added five assists for a team-best 17 points.
Rutgers has gone 32-19 overall in the past three seasons, with a 13-11 conference record in that span in the nation's top league. Over that time, RU has defeated 13 ranked foes, including eight top-10 wins, signaling the continued improvement of the program.
