Women’s Soccer Unveils 2021 Fall Schedule

Scarlet Knights kick off the season on Thursday, August 19 with FDU
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer has unveiled its 2021 Fall schedule. The campaign features 10 Big Ten matchups and seven nonconference contests, including a total of 11 home regular season matches hosted at Yurcak Field.
Following home scrimmages with Navy (Aug. 12) and Colgate (Aug. 15), the Scarlet Knights kick off the season on Thursday, August 19 with Fairleigh Dickinson.
The August 19th season opener leads off a seven-game homestand which includes Temple (Aug. 22), Providence (Aug. 29), Monmouth (Sept. 3), La Salle (Sept. 5), and Princeton (Sept. 9). Rutgers wraps up nonconference action with its first road test of the year at Georgetown on Sunday, Sept. 12.
The Big Ten slate begins on Sunday, Sept. 19 as the Scarlet Knights host the Penn State Nittany Lions. The remaining home league games feature Michigan (Sept. 23), Nebraska (Sept. 26), Iowa (Oct. 10) and Michigan State (Oct. 17).
RU will travel to five conference opponents starting with Minnesota (Sept. 30) followed by Ohio State (Oct. 3), Maryland (Oct. 14), Indiana (Oct. 21) and Illinois (Oct. 24).
The Big Ten tournament is set to start on Sunday, Oct. 31, beginning with the quarterfinals. The semifinals are slated for Thursday, Nov. 4 and the championship for Sunday, Nov. 7. Location is to be determined.
The NCAA Tournament kicks off the weekend of November 12-14 with the First Round, leading up to the College Cup set for December 3-5 in San Jose, California.

Rutgers concluded Spring 2021 ranked No. 24 in the nation, having appeared in the national rankings for the 13th straight season. The Scarlet Knights advanced to their second straight Big Ten Semifinal and fourth overall, finishing the regular season in the Top 3 of the league for the third consecutive year. RU earned a bid to its ninth straight NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Second Round for the first time since 2017.
Led by seniors Amirah Ali, Gabby Provenzano, and Adriana Kuryla, who will be back for Fall 2021, Rutgers returns a core group of veterans and letterwinners. Additionally, the program will add the No. 7 ranked recruiting class in the nation, as well as welcoming an All-American graduate transfer.
