PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse has unveiled its schedule for the upcoming 2023 campaign. Following a historic season for the program that saw the Scarlet Knights make their first ever Final Four appearance, the team unveiled the slate for the eagerly anticipated 2023 campaign that will begin on February 4.

The Scarlet Knights will play a 13-game slate. The schedule starts with eight nonconference games, as RU will face Marist, Stony Brook, Army, Loyola St. John's, Utah, Princeton and UMass. Rutgers will have six of those games at home, hosting Marist, Stony Brook, Loyola, St. John's, Utah and Princeton. RU will travel to Army and UMass.

In Big Ten play, RU will have two home games and three road games this year. The Scarlet Knights open the conference schedule by traveling to Ohio State and Johns Hopkins. RU then welcome Michigan and Maryland before finishing out Big Ten play at Penn State.

This year's Big Ten Tournament will be hosted by Johns Hopkins. The format begins with quarterfinal action on April 29, then semifinals (Thursday, May 4) and finals (May 6).

The schedule includes four games against teams ranked in the final USILA poll last season (Maryland, Princeton, Ohio State, and Army), with Loyola among the teams that were receiving votes. Three of those teams (Maryland, Princeton and Ohio State) were NCAA Tournament team squads last season, with Maryland the defending national champions.

RU will host three scrimmages this preseason in late January. The Scarlet Knights will welcome Boston University (Jan. 21), NJIT (Jan. 25) and Villanova (Jan. 28) to the bubble for closed preseason exhibitions. The season opens on February 4^th with the game against Marist. Overall, RU will have eight regular season games inside SHI Stadium.

With the schedule now official, tickets for home games are now on sale. Season tickets are currently available for $60. Single game tickets will be on sale in January, and will be sold for $10.
