PRINCETON, N.J. – No. 16 Rutgers took on two of the nation's top teams at Lake Carnegie on Saturday, racing No. 1 Texas at No. 4 Princeton in a series of six races.

RU's 3rd Varsity 4B boat won the final race of the day in 7:37.3, beating out Rutgers' 3rd Varsity 4A boat by 2.6 seconds and 32 seconds ahead of the No. 4 Tigers boat. The Scarlet Knights opened the day with a close race by the Novice 8 boat, which finished just 2.6 seconds behind No. 4 Princeton's 3rd Varsity 8.

Rutgers returns to the water next weekend for the Eastern Sprints on Sun., May 1 in Worcester, Mass.
