Giulia Vittorioso Wins NCAA Zone A Platform Title

Sophomore Scarlet Knight Advances To 2023 NCAA Championships
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Rutgers' Giulia Vittorioso captured the 2023 NCAA Zone A Platform title on Wednesday afternoon at the Aquatics Center at Mylan Park.
The Scarlet Knight sophomore advances to the 2023 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in taking home the crown and will also compete on 1-meter and 3-meter having placed in the top 12 in both events during zones.
Vittorioso scored 520.70 for the top spot, 16.45 ahead of the second-place finisher to qualify for her first trip to the NCAA Championships.
During prelims, she was atop the leaderboard with a score of 278.25 marking the fifth-highest score in Rutgers history.
This marks the second-consecutive year Rutgers has captured the NCAA Zone A title on platform. Last season, Abigail Knapton won the title and reached the NCAA Championship final finishing seventh overall.
Two additional Scarlet Knights also reached the platform finals. Savana Trueb placed 10th with a total score of 446.60 moving up from 18th position in the prelims with a score of 199.15. Holly Prasanto finished 12th overall with a total of 428.85 and qualified for finals competition placing 10th in prelims with a score of 219.10.
The 2023 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships will take place at Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 15-18. Vittorioso will compete on 1-meter on Thursday, March 16, followed by 3-meter on Friday, March 17 and platform on Saturday, March. 18.
