Swimming & Diving With A Trio Of Top 10 Entries & 13 Event Victories In Win Over Villanova

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's swimming & diving team captured wins in 13 events, going top three in both 1M and 3M diving, 100 and 200 breast, 500 and 1000 free and 200 IM, with three top 10 times/scores en route to a 199-99 victory over Villanova in the Scarlet Knights' final home meet of the 2023-24 season.

| FROM THE POOL DECK |
- Freshman Elshya Pribadi and sophomores Valeria Egorova and Martyna Piesko all won a trio of events.
- Junior Holly Prasanto won both boards with her 1M score landing her seventh all-time.
- Pribadi moved herself up the Rutgers all-time top 10 lists in the 200 breast with the fifth-fastest time on record and in the 200 IM with the seventh-fastest time in school history. The rookie Scarlet Knight totaled three victories also adding the top time in the 100 breast.
- Egorova was a top finisher in three events as leadoff in the 200 medley relay and placed first in the 100 and 200 back.
- Piesko also helped the 200 medley squad to victory in addition to her top times in the 50 free and 100 fly.
| SPRINTS |
- Rutgers dominated both breast events with Elysha Pribadi in first, Tina Celik in second and Molly Urkiel in third in both disciplines.
- Pribadi led the group going 1:02.12 in the 100 breast followed by Celik in 1:02.34 and Urkiel in 1:05.43.
- In the 200 breast, Pribadi recorded a 5.25-second margin of victory and the fifth-fastest time "On The Banks" in 2:14.12. Celik was the runner-up in 2:19.37 with Urkiel registering 2:20.48.
- Pribadi also had a big lead in the 200 IM. Winning the event by 5.64 seconds, Pribadi connected with the wall in 2:01.88 marking the seventh-fastest time in Rutgers history. Celik was the runner-up in 2:07.52.
- Valeria Egorova swept the back events hitting the wall in 55.87 in the 100 back and in 2:00.23 in the 200 back.
- Also in the back, Shannon Meadway was the runner-up in the 200 back coming in at 2:01.62, while Natalie Schick was third in the 100 back posting a time of 58.00.
- Martyna Piesko claimed first in the 50 free and later swam to a 2.75-second margin of victory in the 100 fly in 54.25.
- Meadway, who was honored on senior day prior to the meet's start, won the 200 free in a time of 1:52.38.
- Also in the fly events, Viktoriia Kostromina took second claiming a time of 2:04.69 in the 200 fly, while Ellie Schinsky was the runner-up in the 100 fly in 57.00 and placed third in the 200 fly in 2:05.93.
- Alena Rozova added a second-place finish in the 50 free in 24.23 and was third in the 100 free clocking in at 53.27.
| DIVING |
- Rutgers went 1-2-3 on both boards.
- Holly Prasanto's score of 297.60 not only took the 1M crown but moved her up two positions on the all-time top 10 scores list into seventh. Giulia Vittorioso was the runner-up with a 284.40 and Amelia Scott came in third scoring a 275.33.
- Prasanto won 3M with a score of 315.15 followed in second by Amelia Scott with a 301.50 and Sephora Ford collecting a 301.35.

- The top three spots belonged to the Scarlet Knights in the distance events.
- Orian Gablan won her first-ever event as Scarlet Knight taking home first in the 500 free in 5:01.31 with Megan Fox in second in 5:02.66 and Grace Weaver finishing third in 5:05.32.
- Fox led the corps in the 1000 free clocking in at 10:14.86 with Gablan the runner-up in 10:22.73 and Weaver in third in 10:27.07.

- The day kicked off with the 200 medley relay team of Valeria Egorova, Tina Celik, Martyna Piesko and Alena Rozova, outpacing the rest of the field with a time of 1:42.64.
