WORCESTER, Mass. – No. 13 Rutgers rowing travels to Lake Quinsigamond for the 2024 Eastern Sprints on Sunday, May 5 for its final event before championship season. The Scarlet Knights will be part of an 16-team field, entering eight boats in the competition featuring championship-style heat and final rounds.
 
The event will be live streamed via overnght.com. In the upper right corner, click on register if you haven't already created an account. If you have an account already, just sign in. In the line below click on the ROWING TAB and look through until you see the icon for the event you are going to watch "2024 Women's Sprints." Sit back and enjoy.  If you miss the live showing it will be there throughout the month for your viewing pleasure.

In addition to No. 13 Rutgers, the event will feature boats from No. 7 Brown, Boston College, Boston University, Colgate, No. 20 Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Drexel, UMass, Marist, Michigan State, Northeastern, Rhode Island, and Temple.

The top two boats in each heat will earn a trip to the grand finals in each event. The 3rd Varisty 8 race (Rutgers' Novice 8) will send three boats to the grand final from heat racing, and Rutgers' 2nd Novice 8 and two 3rd Varsity 4 boats will go straight to grand finals on Sunday afternoon.

8:10 a.m. - Varsity 4
8:40 a.m. - Varsity 8
9:10 a.m. - 2nd Varsity 8
9:40 a.m. - Novice 8 (racing with 3rd Varsity 8's) 
10:00 a.m. - 2nd Varsity 4

Grand Finals
1:05 p.m. - 2nd Novice 8 (racing in 4th Varsity 8)
1:15 p.m. - 3rd Varsity 4 (two Rutgers boats)
1:25 - 3:55 p.m. - All other finals

The Scarlet Knights claimed two victories at the Big Ten Invitational two weeks ago in Florida racing against 12 nationally ranked teams. Following the racing on Lake Quinsigamond, Rutgers will prepare for the Big Ten Championships on Sun., May 19 in Wisconsin.
