WORCESTER, Mass. – No. 13 Rutgers rowing sent all eight of its boats to the grand finals at the Women's Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond Sunday while earning eight medals in the championship-style event that featured 16 schools.

The 3rd Varsity 4B and 2nd Novice 8 claimed victories, while the Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8, Varsity 4, 2nd Varsity 4, 3rd Varsity 4A, and Novice 8 all took silver for second-place finishes in their grand final races.

The Scarlet Knights won all five of its heats in the morning. The top two boats from each heat advanced to the grand final at the Eastern Sprints.

The 3V4B, beginning their day in the grand final in the afternoon, finished with more than 14 seconds of open water ahead of the competition, including 17 seconds ahead of the fastest of two boats from No. 7 Brown and 40 seconds in front of No. 20 Columbia and Big Ten foe Michigan State. The 2N8 took gold with a 3.8-second win over Dartmouth and Northeastern, racing once in the grand final.

Rutgers' 3V4A took silver finishing behind its RU teammates, while the V8, 2V8, V4, 2V4, and the N8 all claimed silver behind boats from No. 7 Brown. Rutgers finished ahead of No. 20 Columbia - the third CRCA ranked team at the 16-team event - in all of its races on Sunday.
