Heideveld & Grieder Named CRCA Athletes to Watch

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (Feb. 26, 2025) – Hannah Heideveld and Victoria Grieder of Rutgers rowing have been named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Athletes to Watch, it was announced by the organization on Wednesday.
 
The Scarlet Knight duo are two of 23 rowers selected across Division I. Grieder is one of three coxswains honored in the nation at Division I, marking her second honor on the CRCA watch list in its second year.
 
Heideveld makes her return to collegiate rowing after taking a redshirt year in 2024 to train for the Summer Olympics. Following the 2023 season, she was named a CRCA All-America Honorable Mention after racing with the Varsity 8 to 14th place at the NCAA Championships and earning her second All-Big Ten First Team honor.
 
Grieder earned CRCA All-America Second Team honors in 2024 coxing the Varsity 8 to a 15th place finish at the NCAA Championships. She is previously a Big Ten Championships bronze medal winner with the 2nd Varsity 8 in 2023, followed by a 14th place national finish in the boat at NCAA Championships that season.
 
Heideveld and Grieder won gold together with Team USA at the U23 World Rowing Championships in 2023.
 
The Scarlet Knights prepare for the 2025 season, which begins officially on March 22 at the Big Ten/Ivy Dust Up in Cherry Hill, N.J.
