AUBURN, Ala. -- Rutgers divers Katerina Hoffman, Bailee Sturgill and Madilyn Varnum will be competing at the 2025 USA Diving National Championships at the James E. Martin Aquatics center on the campus of Auburn.
Rising sophomore Madilyn Varnum will compete in the qualifying rounds on 3M on Friday, May 9 and 1M on Saturday, May 10.
Fellow rising sophomores Katerina Hoffman and Bailee Sturgill will team up for synchronized platform on Saturday, May 10 and both compete on 3M on Wednesday, May 14.
Sturgill will also be on the boards for synchronized 3M on Sunday, May 11 and platform on Tuesday, May 13. Â Hoffman will also dive on 1M on Monday, May 12.

Sturgill qualified for the NCAA Championships on all three boards and was crowned the NCAA Zone A Platform champion. Sturgill won the Zone A platform title with a 10-dive total of 570.30 and was fourth on 3M.  At the Big Ten Championships, she led the Scarlet Knights, qualifying for finals on both 1M and platform. Sturgill reached the podium on platform, placing eighth. During the season, she captured the second-highest platform score in school history with a 313.45 at the Princeton Platform Invitational and the eighth-highest score in the RU record book with a 330.65 at the RU Dive Invite.
Hoffman also qualified for the NCAA Championships on all three boards and won the NCAA Zone A 1M title. Hoffman was crowned the Zone A 3M champion with a total of 714.85 with her final six dives totaling 356.45 for the third-highest total in the Rutgers record book. The Scarlet Knight was also fourth at Zones on 1M. She qualified for both 1M and 3M consolation finals at the Big Ten Championships. On 1M, Hoffman was third in the consolation final , while on 3M she placed eighth in the consolation round with a 269.35. During the season, she recorded the sixth-highest 3M score in program history with a 310.65 against Fordham.
Varnum qualified for NCAA Zone A competition on 1M, 3M and platform. During the season, Varnum took third on 1M at the Rutgers Diving Invitational and was a top-eight finisher on 3M against Nebraska, Iowa, Fordham and Princeton, as well as the Rutgers Invitational.
