
No. 22 Women’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 18 Penn State Saturday for Senior Day

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 22 Rutgers women's lacrosse (10-6, 4-3) closes the regular season against No. 19 Penn State (11-5, 3-4) on Saturday at SHI Stadium. First draw is set for 4:30 p.m. ET and will stream on Big Ten Plus, with Miles Grossman and letterwinner Marin Hartshorn on the call.
Saturday is Senior Day, as eight Scarlet Knights – Katie Buck, Ava Chiarella, Kayleigh Coughlin, Erin Devine, Lily Dixon, Gianna Eglauf, Kimberly Greenblatt, and Simone Koryszewski – will be recognized pregame. The senior class has combined for 34 victories, four consecutive Big Ten Tournament appearances and back-to-back Big Ten semifinals since it arrived in 2023.
RU will host a Spring-Cleaning Sale for merchandise at the game. Fans will have the opportunity to stock up on Scarlet Knights gear at major discounts, up to 80% off. Doors will open at 3:00 p.m. for fans to shop on the north concourse between gates C and D.
Thanks to its most conference wins since 2022, Rutgers has locked up a spot in the Big Ten Tournament, hosted April 22-26 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Depending on results across the league on Saturday, the Scarlet Knights can earn between the No. 4 and No. 6 seed when action begins next Wednesday at U-M Lacrosse Stadium.

• Rutgers lost at No. 2 Northwestern, 18-6, on Wednesday night at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. Sophomore Caroline Ling produced three goals, including the 100th point of her career, in the loss to the Wildcats.
• It marked the 11th game with three or more goals for Ling this season. The Springboro, Ohio, native is now up to 53 goals and 28 assists this season, with her 81 points second in the Big Ten Conference this spring. In just 31 career games, Ling has tallied 101 career points, becoming the 29th student-athlete in program history to eclipse 100 career points "On the Banks."

• Rutgers possesses the fifth-hardest schedule in the NCAA, with its opponents owning a combined .664 winning percentage. The Scarlet Knights are No. 14 in the latest RPI released on Wednesday and are ranked No. 22 in this week's IWLCA Coaches Poll.
• RU has faced five programs – No. 1 Maryland, No. 2 Northwestern, No. 6 Johns Hopkins, No. 7 Stony Brook and No. 8 Michigan – who appeared in the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship Subcommittee top 10. Rutgers owns four wins against teams with a top 35 RPI – No. 8 Michigan, No. 26 Villanova, No. 33 Delaware and No. 35 Ohio State.
• After Saturday's matchup with the Nittany Lions, nine of the Scarlet Knights' 17 games during the regular season will have come against programs who appeared in the IWLCA Coaches Poll this season and eight featured in this week's rankings – No. 2 Northwestern, No. 3 Maryland, No. 6 Johns Hopkins, No. 11 Michigan, No. 12 Stony Brook, No. 14 Army, No. 19 Penn State, and No. 23 Princeton.

| Ling Midseason All-American |
• Sophomore Caroline Ling is putting together an All-American caliber season in 2026. The Springboro, Ohio, native is second in the Big Ten and sixth nationally with 81 points this season on a team-high 53 goals and 28 assists.
• Already a Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media All-American, Ling has netted three or more goals 11 times this spring. Her 5.06 points per game are 13th in the NCAA, while her 3.31 goals per game are fourth in the Big Ten.

• Senior Katie Buck continues to set the program standard on the draw. Her 147 draw controls are a school single season record, surpassing the 141 from Linda Larson in 1981. Buck's 16 in the 21-7 victory over Oregon last week reset her single game program record for the third time this season and marked her seventh double-digit draw control game of 2026. Buck is second in the Big Ten and 11th nationally with 9.19 draw controls per game.

• Senior Lily Dixon set the program single-season assist record in the 13-12 win over No. 6 Michigan last week and is up to 44 assists this season. Dixon became the first student-athlete in program history to break 100 career assists earlier this season.
• Dixon is second in the Big Ten and ninth nationally with 44 assists, while her 2.75 assists per game rank 14th in the country. Dixon has also set a personal record for points in a season with 55.

• Rookie Kate Theofield has been one of the best first-year scorers in the NCAA. The Smithtown, New York, native is third nationally amongst freshmen and first in the Big Ten with 40 goals this season.

• Underclassmen have accounted for 78 percent of the team's goals (166/213) and 69 percent of the team's points (240/348) this spring. RU's top four goal scorers – Caroline Ling (53), Kate Theofield (54), Hilary Elsner (26) and Delainey Sutley (18) – are all sophomores or younger.

• The Nittany Lions own an 11-5 record and 3-4 mark in conference. PSU lost to No. 6 Johns Hopkins in overtime, 10-9, on Thursday at Panzer Stadium in its last time out.
• Penn State is ninth nationally with 22.88 points per game and owns a top 20 scoring offense nationally (14.50).
• Delainey Radin is the program's leading scorer, with her 74 points on the season 14th in the country, while her 49 helpers rank seventh.
