Joe Juengerkes Named Third Team All-American by USILA

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse short-stick defensive midfielder Joe Juengerkes was named a Third Team All-American by the USILA. Juengerkes was recognized as an All-American by all three awarding publications, also being previously recognized by USA Lacrosse (Second Team) and the Inside Lacrosse Media voting (Third Team).
Juengerkes completed his second season 'On the Banks' in 2026 as a two-time team captain and a First Team All-Big Ten and All-ECAC selection. He had 44 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers and seven points (five goals and two assists). With Juengerkes on the defensive end, RU had a top-20 scoring defense nationally while holding seven opponents to single digits. Across two seasons in a Scarlet Knight uniform, he played in 31 games, scoring 12 goals with six assists and had 99 ground balls with 29 caused turnovers. He joined the PLL's Maryland Whipsnakes for his pro lacrosse debut.

Rutgers has 11 consecutive seasons with at least one USILA All-American and eight over the past four years. All-time, Rutgers has had 153 different players earn All-American honors.
