
Women's Soccer Finalizes Staff with Mariana Martinez

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer head coach Mike O'Neill finalized his staff for 2026 with the addition of Mariana Martinez as video analyst.
A native of Clifton, New Jersey, Martinez has a diverse track record of coaching at both the collegiate and club levels.
At Player Development Academy (PDA), Martinez serves as the head coach for 2017 and 2018 girls as well assists with the 2009 and 2011 ECNL PDA Blue teams. From 2022 through 2025, she served as the Girls Director and Head Coach at PDA SC Vistula in Garfield. Her other club experience inlcudes time spent as an assistant coach at Cedar Stars Academy and Larchmont Mamaroneck Football Club.
At the collegiate level, Martinez served as an assistant at NJCU in 2022 and has coached at Penn State soccer camps in 2023 and 2024.
On the international circuit, she assisted with the Polish National Team U12 camp during July and August of 2024.
Martinez played collegiately and was a team captain at Iona from 2015-18 before finishing her playing career at Wagner in 2019. She earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Iona in 2019 and her MBA in Management from Wagner in 2020.
Rutgers opens the 2026 campaign on Aug. 13 at Tennesse, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. on SECN+.
