2022 (At Rutgers): Took faceoffs in 16 games ... went 39-of-100 at the "X" with 25 ground balls, one goal and one caused turnover ... made Rutgers debut with 8-of-12 on faceoffs and five ground balls in season opening win over LIU (Feb. 5) ... won a faceoff and recorded a ground ball in win vs. St. John's (Feb. 12)  …had two ground balls and was 1-3 in faceoffs in win at No. 19 Loyola (2/26) ... had one ground ball and won three faceoffs in win at Stony Brook (Mar. 5) ... won two faceoffs at No. 7 Princeton (March 11) ... scooped six ground balls and won six faceoffs in win at Hofstra (Mar. 19) ... won a faceoff in win vs. No. 8/9 Ohio State (Mar. 27) ... scooped five ground balls, caused one turnover, and won six face offs at No.1 Maryland (Apr. 10) ... won three faceoffs against No. 1 Maryland in Big Ten Championship game (May 7) ... was 5-of-7 on faceoffs with first goal as a Scarlet Knight in 19-9 home win over No. 14/17 Harvard in NCAA Tournament First Round (May 15) ... won three faceoffs with two ground balls in Final Four versus No. 10 Cornell (May 28)

Prior to Rutgers: Spent four seasons as faceoff man at Mount St. Mary’s … played in 46 games, going 550-of-1008 (54.5 percent) on faceoffs, while collecting 347 ground balls … posted 12 goals and four assists … won at least 52 percent of his faceoffs in all four seasons … named Academic All-American by USILA … valedictorian … named Male Scholar Athlete of the Year …in high school, was named All-County and All-State … team Captain … set record for most faceoffs wins in career (703) … earned US Lacrosse Bob Scott Award … named MVP in senior season.. for his career, was 76.5% on faceoffs with 56 goals and 53 assists … Male Scholar Athlete of the Year … also played Soccer (All-State) … parents are Nick and Ellen Stephan … father and brother (Dean) played soccer at Rider
