2019-20 (Senior) 
  • Took second place in the 200 Back and 400 Free Relay at the Rutgers Pre-Season Tune-Up (10/12)
2018-19 (Junior)
  • Posted personal best records in 200 Free, 1000 Free, and 1650 Free at the Frank Elm Rutgers Invitational (11/30)
2017-18 (Sophomore)
  • Named Academic All-Big Ten 
  • Posted personal records in the 100 Free, 100 and 200 Back, and 200 IM at the Texas Invitational (11/30-12/2) 
  • Scored three Top 8 finishes (5th - 200 IM, 6th - 200 Back, 7th - 100 Back) at the Northwestern quad-meet with Illinois, Chicago and Illinois-Chicago (10/28)
  • Opened the season with a fourth place performance in the 100 Back at a dual meet at Florida Gulf Coast (10/6)

2016-17 (Freshman)
  • Made collegiate debut with a seventh place finish in the 200 Back and ninth place performance in the 400 IM at the Rutgers quad-meet with Georgetown, Seton Hall and Villanova

Prior to Rutgers
  • Competes with the Nation’s Capital Swim Club coached by John Flanagan
  • member of the Lebanese National Swimming Federation and hold Lebanese Nation records in the LCM 400 IM and 200 back and the SCM 100 back, 200 back and 100 fly
  • holds more than 20 individual and relay records for her age group in Lebanon 
  • top 5K Lebanese open water swimming with a time of 1:08.52 achieved at the 2014 East Coast Open Waters Championship
  • has competed on behalf of Lebanon in the Junior World Swimming Championships, Asian Age Group Championships and Arab Championships, among other global events
  • named a 2015-16 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American 
  • 2015 Winter Junior National qualifier … will compete for Potomac Falls High School for the first time this season

  • A sports management major with minor studies in organizational leadership

  • Uncle, Nicholas Sorensen, played collegiate football at Virginia Tech and enjoyed a 10-year NFL career before moving on to coaching with the Seattle Seahawks, where he is a special teams assistant
  • Cousin James Augustine played collegiate basketball at Illinois and in the NBA with the Orlando Magic and is now competing professionally in Russia
  • Great grandmother, Gladys Crabbe, was one of the first female students to participate in the Rutgers University Teachers Certificate Program
  • Member of Athletes in Action, a Christian group for athletes at Rutgers
  • Greatest sports influences are the USA Swimming team at the Olympics

I chose my major because: HRM is a great major, very broad and applicable to the workplace.

The person I most admire is and why: I admire my dad so much because he was born and raised in Lebanon and moved to the United States to attend college. He did not know any English or any other individuals in college at the time. He now owns his own Engineering Business and is extremely successful. He is so giving and caring, I am so grateful to have a dad like him.
If I wasn’t swimming, I’d be:  An actress, reality TV-star, professional dancer
Favorite professional athlete: Natalie Coughlin
Favorite professional sports team: Seattle Seahawks
One word to describe myself in the pool: Energetic/Focused
One word tp describe myself out of the pool: Entertaining
Few people know that: My uncle played in the NFL for 10 years, my cousin played for the Orlando Magic in the NBA for a few years and my grandpa played for in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins for a few years.
Person who had greatest influence on my athletics career: Gary Hall Senior (Olympic swimmer)
I started playing my sport because: I lived near a beach and needed to learn how to swim
I chose Rutgers because: I loved the relationship that the team has along with the location and the amazing education Rutgers provides.
Favorite cereal: Honey Bunches of Oats
The movie I have watched the most in my lifetime is: Elf
The best actor/actress to play me in a movie is: Marilyn Monroe
Favorite musician/group: Blink-182
The first song I knew all the words to is: Drops of Jupiter
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a gold medal at: Sleeping
Rituals I have before, during or after a game are: sleeping

What would you like to say to the R Fund donors who have provided for your scholarship and/or facility resources?: I would like to thank each individual who has contributed to my teammates and I success in and out of the competition pool. The resources that we are provided are exceptional and we are so grateful for all the opportunities and support that you have given us.
How has Rutgers and donor support changed your life?: The new buildings that are going up are state of the art and will provide every student-athlete here at Rutgers an opportunity to better themselves academically and psychically.
