KNOW YOUR KNIGHTS

One word to describe your Coach: Driven
Major: Nutrition
I chose my major because: I've always been interested in learning about how to optimize my nutrition for my performance in the pool as well as just for a healthier lifestyle. I love trying new foods and learning about food, and studying nutrition allows me to studying something I'm passionate about and apply it to my life.
Favorite place to hang out on campus: Harvest Cafe at IFNH on Cook/Douglass
The person I most admire is and why: The person I admire most is my dad. He is the most dedicated, hardest worker I know, has always been my number one supporter in and out of the pool, and always reminds me to do my best in life. He has taught me that anything worth doing always requires hard work, while at the same time reminding me that I'm stronger and tougher than I give myself credit for.
If I wasn’t swimming, I’d be: Spending more time volunteering and doing internships in the nutrition field.
One word to describe myself in the pool: Determined
One word to describe myself out of the pool: Quiet
Person who had greatest influence on my athletics career: My parents
I started playing my sport because: My parents encouraged me to try out for the summer swim team when I was eight years old. I turned out to be pretty good at it, so I tried out for the year-round team at my local YMCA when I was ten and have been swimming ever since.
I chose Rutgers because: Rutgers offers a wide variety of areas of study as well as groups and organizations to be involved in, and it's all done at a very high level. There is truly something for everyone, which is reflected in the diversity of the students here. When I came on my recruiting trip, I felt that I would have no trouble finding a place here and feeling at home.
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a gold medal at: Eating peanut butter
Pets I had growing up were: Goldfish
The place in the world I would most like to visit is: Paris
My favorite teacher was/is (name, grade, subject): Mrs. Brink in 4th grade
If I could choose any color when buying a new car it would be: Black
My spirit animal is: Deer
One thing on my bucket list is: Going to New Zealand
What would you like to say to the R Fund donors who have provided for your scholarship and/or facility resources?: Thank you so much!
How has Rutgers and donor support changed your life?: Being at Rutgers has taught me how to adapt to big changes in my life.
