Dave Beck begins his ninth season on the Rutgers men's soccer staff and his fifth as Associate Head Coach.

Beck has helped draw some of New Jersey's most outstanding talent, as well as from across the nation, to play for Rutgers. He was heavily involved in constructing the 2013 freshman recruiting class that was ranked as high as No. 22 in the country by Top Drawer Soccer.

During the 2015 campaign, Beck helped return the Scarlet Knights to the second round of the NCAA Tournament as RU collected the most wins in program history since 2001 and the most shutouts since the 1998 season.

Following one of the most successful campaigns in recent Rutgers history, Beck was named the 2011 NSCAA Assistant Coach of the Year for the Northeast Region after helping the Scarlet Knights to a Sweet 16 appearance. He assisted Donigan in leading RU to its first NCAA appearance since 2006, which included an upset over fourth-seeded and eighth-ranked Boston College.

Prior to arriving at Rutgers, Beck spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Saint Louis as the Billikens amassed 52 wins and enjoyed four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances. He consistently put together nationally ranked recruiting classes, including a 12-member class ranked among the top 10 by Soccer America in 2009. In 2007, Beck helped construct a recruiting class that was ranked 21st in the nation by CollegeSoccerNews.com and also played a major role in the recruiting a class ranked 24th in 2008.

Beck came to Saint Louis after spending six seasons on the coaching staff at NAIA power Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. He was involved in all facets of the Lions' program including scouting, recruiting and training. The Lions won the 2004 NAIA National Championship and qualified for the NAIA Tournament for five consecutive seasons spanning 2000-05.

In all, Beck has coached five All-Americans, including a freshman and second team All-American at Rutgers, and nine players who went on to be drafted by Major League Soccer.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Beck played two years at Florissant Valley Community College before transferring to Lindenwood to complete his collegiate career. He played professionally in 1999 for the St. Louis Ambush of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL). Beck earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Lindenwood.
