LeBlanc Posts Fourth-Straight Shutout Against Saint Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Rutgers women’s soccer assistant coach Karina LeBlanc recorded her fourth consecutive shutout of the season to help lead her Los Angeles Sol squad to a scoreless tie against Women’s Professional Soccer League opponent Saint Louis Athletica on April 25.
LeBlanc’s performance in goal helped maintain the Sol’s unblemished season record at 3-0-1. The game remained scoreless through the first half with the best shot opportunities for both sides coming on penalty kicks in the second period.
In the 73rd minute, the Sol’s Katie Larkin was fouled in the penalty area. Aly Wagner took the penalty kick which was blocked by Saint Louis goalkeeper Hope Solo. The tables turned in the 83rd minute when Allison Falk committed a handball foul in Sol's penalty area. Midfielder Lori Chalupny took the penalty kick which was saved by LeBlanc, preserving the scoreless tie.
In four starts, LeBlanc has not relinquished a single goal, making 18 saves for a perfect save percentage.
