Ticket Information and Stadium Policies
Tickets for Friday's NCAA match are now on sale and available for purchase through the Rutgers Ticket Office either online at ScarletKnights.com or by calling 1-866-445-GORU (4678). Ticket prices for the match are as follows:
Adult - $8
Senior - $6
Student - $6
Child (12 and under) - $1
Groups of 20 or more - $4
Fans wishing to preorder child tickets or group rate tickets can only do so by calling the Rutgers Ticket Office. All other preorders can be made online or by calling the ticket office. Children under three years old will be admitted free of charge.
The Yurcak Field gates will open one hour prior to kickoff. The first 100 Rutgers students to arrive at the game with their Rutgers student ID card will receive free entry and pizza.
Re-entry into Yurcak Field is strictly prohibited. In addition, fans are urged to review the Rutgers Athletics Bag Policy prior to attending the match. More information is available here.
Rutgers Quick Kicks
• The Scarlet Knights (12-5-1, 8-4-1 Big Ten) qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season and the fifth time in the last seven years. RU enters the matchup at 12-5-1, and hosts its first NCAA Tournament match since Nov. 16, 2008.
• Rutgers seeks its first NCAA Tournament win since Nov. 10, 2012, when the squad topped Colgate, 1-0, in Charlottesville, Va.
• The Scarlet Knights enter the weekend ranked by the NSCAA (No. 25), Soccer America (No. 21) and TopDrawerSoccer.com (No. 23) for the sixth consecutive week.
• Defense has been a key part of RU's success this season. Rutgers is 10th in the nation in GAA (0.55), 18th in save percentage (.855) and 17th in shutout percentage (.560).
• Senior Stefanie Scholz (South Hackensack, N.J.) is tied for third in the Big Ten with four game-winning goals.
• Freshman goalkeeper Casey Murphy (Bridgewater, N.J.) is second in the Big Ten in GAA (0.52), tied for second in shutouts (nine) and shutout percentage (.530) and third in save percentage (.848). Her GAA is 12th-best nationally.
• The Scarlet Knights have used just four different lineups this season.
• Scholz is currently ninth on RU's all-time goals list with 21 for her career. She is also tied for seventh all-time with eight game-winning goals in her RU career.
• The Scarlet Knights have recorded double-digit shots in all 18 matches this season, including 36 of their last 40 contests dating back to the 2013 season.
• Rutgers has captured three victories against ranked opponents this season: 1-0 at No. 6/7 Penn State (Oct. 11), 1-0 vs. No. RV/21 Michigan (Sept. 21) and 1-0 vs. No. RV/13 Iowa (Sept. 28). It is the most wins vs. ranked opponents since at least the 2008 season.
• RU has displayed its depth time and time again this season. Through 18 matches, head coach Mike O'Neill has cycled in at least six reserves in each match, with six logging more than 10 minutes in 16 of 18 contests. The Scarlet Knights have used at least eight reserves in eight of 11 contests dating back to the team's 1-0 win over Michigan State on Sept. 19.
• The Scarlet Knights are 37-24-7 all-time against current members of the Atlantic-10. RU has not lost to an A-10 opponent since Sept. 4, 2005 against Saint Joseph's (2-1).
Scouting La Salle
• La Salle earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 14-5-1 record. The Explorers went an unblemished 8-0-0 in Atlantic 10 play to win the regular season title before falling in the Atlantic 10 Championship game by a 2-1 score against Dayton (Nov. 9).
• Prior to the championship loss, the Explorers were on a 10-match winning streak.
• Kelsey Haycook leads La Salle with 20 goals this season. Her total is tied for the third-best mark in the nation, while her seven game-winners also put her in a tie for third.
• Maryam Huseini leads the Explorers with 12 assists, a mark that ties her for 12th in the country.
• Jessica Wiggins has started 20 of La Salle's 21 matches and owns a 1.04 GAA and .840 save percentage. She has posted eight shutouts and made 110 saves, which is tied for 28th nationally.
• La Salle has been shut out just one time this season and enters the matchup averaging 1.90 goals per game.
All-time Series vs. the Explorers
• Rutgers leads La Salle all-time by a 7-0-1 margin. The Scarlet Knights last played the Explorers on Sept. 17, 2001, a contest that ended by a 4-0 final in favor of RU. In eight matches played against La Salle, Rutgers has outscored the opposition, 30-2, including an 11-0 win at home on Oct. 10, 1986 to begin the series.
