ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference recognized a record 85 Rutgers student-athletes on the Fall 2018 Academic All-Big Ten list, it was announced Wednesday.

Seven different programs were represented on the list including 12 from field hockey, 28 from football, 13 each for men's and women's soccer, nine from women's cross country and five from both men's cross country and volleyball.

The 85 Scarlet Knight selections are a fall school record since joining the Big Ten for the 2014-15 academic season, surpassing the 84 from the Fall of 2015.

Brian Shushkovsky was recognized as one of 40 Big Ten student-athletes and one of two Big Ten men's soccer student-athletes to achieve a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade-point average. The senior goalkeeper from Morganville, New Jersey will graduate with a degree in finance.

Adora Moneme both make their third-straight appearance on a Big Ten All-Academic Team. Moneme, a senior forward from Union, New Jersey, will be receiving her degree in exercise science and sports study.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports, who have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
