Men’s XC Opens 2018 Campaign at Fordham Fiasco

Race set for 10 a.m. ET at Van Cortlandt Park
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's cross country is open its 2018 campaign at the Fordham Fiasco on Saturday, Sept. 8. The Rams' hosted event will take place at the Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
The women's race is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET, followed by the men's race at 10 a.m.
THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
Rutgers returns seven Scarlet Knights to the roster, while welcoming five newcomers. The most experience on the squad can be found with seniors Dom Munson and Conor Murphy, and juniors Andrew Comito and Cole Pschunder.
Sophomores Genaro Anzalone, Billy Hill, and Patrick Walsh carry a year of experience into the season.
The freshmen class includes Younass Barkouch, Will Berger, Cade Hindley, Cole Hindley, and Jonathan Torres.

Rutgers' 2018 slate features three invitational meets set to prepare the Scarlet Knights for the Big Ten and NCAA Championships later this fall.
The 2018 Big Ten Cross Country Championship are set for Sunday, Oct. 28 and will be hosted at the University of Nebraska.
Championship season continues on Friday, Nov. 9 with the NCAA District Championships at Penn State, followed by the NCAA Division I Championships and IC4A Championships taking place on the same day on Saturday, Nov. 17. Nationals will be hosted at Wisconsin's Zimmer Championship Course, while the IC4A's will take place at the 8,000-meter course at Van Cortlandt Park.
