| RUTGERS QUICK KICKS |
- Rutgers appears on BTN for the second time this season with Dean Linke and Patrick Doody on the call.
- The Scarlet Knights returned to the win column, captured their first Big Ten victory of the year and snapped a three-game setback streak last Friday night in a 3-0 victory over Wisconsin and powered back from a two-goal deficit to tie Hartford, a team on an 11-game unbeaten streak, in nonconference action on Tuesday night.
- Against the Badgers in their last Big Ten matchup, Rutgers exploded for three second half goals. Senior captain Jake Longo put away the game-winning on his first career goal while insurance goals came off the feet of sophomore Pablo Ávila and classmate Brandon Wall within a three-minute span late in the game.
- On Tuesday night, the Scarlet Knights found themselves down 2-0 two minutes into the second half before Ávila scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 50th minute and freshman Jackson Temple tied the match in the 67th minute.
- RU led in shots 10-6 at the end of regulation, but after a Hartford second overtime surge, ended the game outshot, 13-11. The Scarlet Knights withstood five second overtime shots by the Hawks to remain unbeaten in nonconference action at 6-0-2.
