Women’s Soccer Signees Shine at All-American High School Game

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Three Rutgers women's soccer 2020 signees – Sara Brocious, Rebecca Fluchel and Julianne Leskauskas – shined at the 2019 All-American High School Game in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, Dec. 7. The trio represented the East Team, which claimed the victory by a margin of 3-1.
Fluchel and Leskauskas joined the lineup as midfielders, while Brocious helped anchor the defense. Leskauskas scored the first goal of the game in the opening half to put the East in the lead for good.
Brocious was named MVP for the East side after playing a crucial role in shutting down the West's attack. Brocious was named to the Best IX by Top Drawer Soccer, while Fluchel was honored as a Special Mention by the organization.
"The All-American game in Florida was an incredible experience that I am so happy I got to be a part of. It was a great way to end my high school soccer career and play with so many high level players, including two of my future teammates at Rutgers.
