- The Big Ten Conference recognized a record 100 Rutgers student-athletes on the Fall 2019 Academic All-Big Ten list.
- Men's basketball reclaimed the Garden State Hardwood Classic trophy against No. 22 Seton Hall by posting the largest margin of victory over a ranked squad in program history.
- Women's basketball is 10-1 for its best start to a season since 2005-06, cemented by Sunday's win over Marshall and another SportsCenter Top 10 play from KK Sanders.
- Field hockey had two student-athletes named All-Americans for the first time since 1986: Austyn Cuneo (Second Team) and Gianna Glatz (Third Team).
- Episode 4 of Knightlife features women's golf teaching men's basketball how to swing a club, an inside look at Greg Schiano's return to Rutgers, and a touching tribute to wrestling's lost teammate, Sam Cali.
General
- Karen Kelly has joined the Rutgers Athletic Department as Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance. Kelly arrives "On the Banks" after serving as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Seton Hall University since July of 2018.
Football
- Willington Previlon took took home the Homer Hazel Award as the Rutgers football most valuable player at the senior banquet held Sunday.
- Jim Panagos returns as defensive line coach. He previously served in the role for the Scarlet Knights from 2012-15.
- Adam Korsak added to his list of accolades by being named to the Associated Press All-Big Ten Second Team.
- Feature | Rutgers football delivered over 500 coats, hats and gloves to the Freedom Prep Elementary School in Camden.

Men's Basketball (8-3, 1-1 Big Ten)
- Returns to the hardwood on Sunday to host Lafayette at the RAC (1 p.m., ESPNU)
- Before the largest RAC crowd in 17 years, decked No. 22 Seton Hall 68-48 to win the annual Garden State Hardwood Classic presented by Affinity Federal Credit Union (Postgame presser, postgame celebration, BTN highlights)
- Reliving the victory over Seton Hall.
- Geo Baker scored 22 points in a 72-65 victory over Wisconsin Wednesday evening at the RAC (Postgame presser, highlights).
Women's Basketball (10-1)
- Returns to the hardwood following a 13-day break from game action on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Wisconsin to begin the Big Ten slate.
- Ran past Southern on Thursday and stampeded Marshall on Sunday to run the winning streak to six straight and start a season 10-1 for the first time since 2005 - a Sweet Sixteen year for C. Vivian Stringer and the Scarlet Knights.
- Khadaizha "KK" Sanders hit a 30-foot three-pointer as time expired on the first quarter against Marshall, landing her on SportsCenter Top 10 Plays for the second time this season.
- Redshirt junior guard Arella Guirantes was named to the Big Ten weekly Honor Roll and earned an honorable mention in the weekly Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) accolades. Guirantes garnered a weekly honor in four of the season's five weeks.
Wrestling (6-0, 1-0 Big Ten)
- Competes at the Southern Scuffle from Jan. 1-2 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- Unveiled its 2020 Signing Class, which features NJSIAA state placewinners Kyle Epperly, Connor O'Neill and John Poznanski.

Swimming & Diving
- Swim team heads to Coronado Island, California and dive squad makes its way to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in early January for their winter training trips.

Women's Soccer
- Seniors Amanda Visco and Taylor Aylmer have been named Scholar All-Region.
- A program record 19 Scarlet Knights were named Academic All-Big Ten this season.
- Three Scarlet Knights represent the US Women's National Team at camps and friendlies.
- Three 2020 signees – Sara Brocious, Rebecca Fluchel and Julianne Leskauskas – shined at the 2019 All-American High School Game in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Field Hockey
- Austyn Cuneo was named All-ECAC in addition to her All-America honors.
Women's Lacrosse
- Announced its 2020 schedule, which features matchups with seven 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, three conference champions and the reigning NCAA champion.
