A LOOK AT THE ENTRIES
JAVELIN
SophomoreÂ
Kathryn Campbell makes her first regional appearance after she picked up points for the Scarlet Knights at the Big Ten Outdoor Championship two weekends ago with a throw of 48.96m (160' 7") to finish sixth overall. The Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey native's throw was not only her PR, but also placed her name fifth all-time in the Rutgers record books. Also this season, the sophomore Scarlet Knight captured javelin titles at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championship and USF Bulls Invitational.
Â
400m HURDLES
FreshmanÂ
Reanda Richards is traveling to the regional following her gold medal performance in the 400m hurdles at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. The second Scarlet Knight women's track and field student-athlete to capture a Big Ten title, the Roseland, New Jersey product crossed the finish line in 57.68 with a .01 second margin of victory. Currently ninth in the country and third in the East Region in the event, she secured a season-best time of 57.21 at the Florida Relays in March. Â
800m
SeniorÂ
Jenna Sobieski makes her first trip to the East Regional after her time of 2:06.59 from the Florida Relays in March placed the Old Bridge, New Jersey native into the field. Her time was the second fastest in the RU record books. Sobieski has had a notable final season "On The Banks", including reaching the finals of the Big Ten Indoor Championships in 800m, as well as helping the Rutgers sprint medley relay team to a new school record at the 125
th running of the Penn Relays. The senior Scarlet Knight was also the Metropolitan Outdoor Champion in the 800m.
Â
HIGH JUMP
Redshirt juniorÂ
Rhonda Rogombe is heading off to her third-straight NCAA regional. The Charlestown, West Virginia native set a season-best height of 1.78m (5' 10") at the Florida Relays in March, a mark that not only gave Rogombe the meet title, but was also .01m shy of tying the Rutgers outdoor record set by Kimberly Fife at the Colonial Relays in 1999.  As a freshman in 2016, Rogombe set the Rutgers indoor high jump record at 1.80m (5' 10.75").
Big Ten outdoor runner-upÂ
Courteney Campbell will be making her first appearance following a height of 1.75m (5' 8.75"). The sophomore Scarlet Knight cleared the height twice this season, including capturing her Metropolitan Outdoor Title and as the runner-up at the USF Bulls Invitational. More recently, the Kendall Park, New Jersey product brought home silver from the Big Ten Outdoor championships clearing 1.73m (5' 8").
