PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers freshman Reanda Richards makes her way to the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Texas as Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin to compete in the 400m hurdles.
Semifinal racing takes place at 10 p.m. (ET) on Thursday on ESPN2. The top two finishers from each of the three semifinal heats, plus the next two best times, will advance to the finals taking place on Saturday at 7:57 p.m. (ET).

ABOUT REANDA RICHARDS
In her first season "On The Banks", Richards makes her NCAA Outdoor Championship debut after winning the NCAA East Preliminary and Big Ten crowns in the 400m hurdles.
The Roseland, New Jersey product clocked in with the nation's second fastest time of 56.31 to win the East Region title. Her time sits right behind Kansas State's Ranae McKenzie, who logged a time of 56.11 at the Michael Johnson invitational in mid-April.
Additionally, her NCAA Prelim time is the second fastest in Rutgers history behind Lori McCauley's benchmark and then-American record of 55.69 set the National Sports Festival in 1982.
Richards was the second Scarlet Knight in women's track and field history to bring home a Big Ten title in May. She crossed the finish line in 57.68 with a .01 second margin of victory.
Altogether, the Scarlet Knight freshman has won six 400m hurdle titles. In addition to NCAA Prelim and Big Ten titles,Richards also captured the top times at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championship, Florida Relays, Virginia Challenge and USF Bulls Invitational.
