Tennis Set for Pair of Home Matches

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis opens its Big Ten campaign this Friday, Feb. 14 with a home match against Maryland at 12:30 p.m. The Scarlet Knights then return to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 when they host UPenn. Both matches are scheduled to take place at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.

| RUTGERS QUICK HITS |
- In their last outing, the Scarlet Knights competed in their first ever doubleheader and added two more wins to their season record, advancing to 5-1.
- Rutgers is currently on a three-match win streak with two of those wins being sweeps against URI and Binghamton.
- After allowing only one point to be scored on her by NJIT in singles during the doubleheader, sophomore Sydney Kaplan's record mirrors that of the team at 5-1.

- The Terrapins enter the match 5-3 coming off of a 6-1 loss to Oregon.
- Freshman Ayana Akli remains undefeated in singles play and brings only one doubles loss with her.
- Also remaining undefeated in singles play is junior Eva Alexandrova.

- Most recently, UPenn attended the ECAC Championship and returned home with a 3-4 record, including a win over Dartmouth and losses to Yale and Harvard.
- As of Feb. 5, sophomore Iuliia Bryzgalova, stood at number 11 in the ITA national rankings with an undefeated singles record.
