
Women’s Lacrosse Faces No. 12 UPenn Wednesday Night in Philadelphia

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (4-0) heads down the New Jersey Turnpike to face No. 12 UPenn (2-0) on Wednesday night in Philadelphia. The 6 p.m. matchup at Penn Park and will stream live via ESPN+.
What to Know
• The Scarlet Knights continued their best start to a season since 2010 with their 17-7 win over Marist last Saturday in Poughkeepsie, New York. Junior Taralyn Naslonski scored a season-high six goals in the victory, as nine Scarlet Knights contributed goals against the Red Foxes. Senior captain Samantha Budd (3) and rookie Cassidy Spilis (2) also notched multi-goal outings against Marist.
• The win moved RU to 4-0 under head coach Melissa Lehman, marking the best start for a first-year head coach at Rutgers in program history. Rutgers is 4-0 for the first since the 2010 season, when the Scarlet Knights began that campaign with five consecutive wins, including triumphs over two ranked foes (No. 7 Princeton, No. 20 Cornell).
• With her six goals last weekend, Naslonski now leads the team with 16 points and 14 goals through the team's first four games. The Randolph, New Jersey, native is second in the Big Ten Conference and 34th nationally with 3.50 goals scored per game.
• Rookie goalkeeper Alonna Gliksman has had an impressive start to her collegiate career in cage for the Scarlet Knights. Gliksman is second in the Big Ten with 10 saves per game (40 total) and is within the Top 30 nationally in save percentage (13th, .519), saves (19th, 40), goals against average (26th, 9.56) and saves per game (30th, 10.00).
• The game marks the first for Lehman against her former team, as she spent the past 10 seasons on the coaching staff after a standout collegiate career with the Quakers.

• The 12th-ranked Quakers are 2-0 to begin 2020 after they defeated Johns Hopkins, 15-12, last Saturday at Franklin Field. Gabby Rosenzweig set a program record with her 238th career point after she produced one goal and four assists in the win.
• Chelsea Kibler is the reigning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after she secured a career-high 10 draw controls to go along with a ground ball and caused turnover against the Blue Jays.
• Rosensweig has been one of the best offensive players in the country through the first two weeks of the season, as she leads the country with 4.50 goals scored per game.
• The Quakers are led by legendary head coach Karin Corbett, who has helped UPenn to 11 Ivy League titles in the past 13 years and 13 straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.
