Gymnastics Set for ESPNU Matchup at No. 10 Minnesota

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics hits the road for a trip to No. 10 Minnesota on Saturday, Feb. 20. The meet is set for a 6 p.m. ET start and will be televised live on ESPNU.

Up next, the Scarlet Knights are set for the Big Five meet at Michigan on Saturday, February 27. The meet will feature host Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State and Rutgers. Start time is slated for 2 p.m. ET in Ann Arbor.

KNIGHT NOTES
- Rutgers raised its team total for the fourth straight meet, registering a season-high team mark on floor to conclude the outing with a season-best total of 194.050.
- RU claimed three event titles and seven top three finishes, as sophomore Hannah Joyner led the way with titles in the all-around and on beam. Junior Kiera Doherty-Herwitz shared the beam title with Joyner, while senior Belle Huang won floor with a career-high 9.925.
- A total of four Scarlet Knights recorded a 9.800 or higher on beam on Sunday, marking the most to eclipse 9.8 in a meet so far this year.
- On floor, RU posted a 49.125 team score, the best of the season, as Huang and Joyner each posted 9.9s in the event. Freshmen Calah Newman (9.800) and Stephanie Zannella (9.750) added personal-bests, while classmate Avery Balser added a 9.750 for the team's overall mark.
- A total of eight freshmen have appeared in lineups for Rutgers.
- Saturday's meet with the Golden Gophers marks the second straight ranked matchup for the Scarlet Knights, having hosted No. 24 Ohio State at home this past Sunday.
