
Field Hockey Ranked 15th To Begin Season

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers field hockey is ranked No. 15 nationally to begin the 2021 fall season.
The Scarlet Knights finished last season ranked seventh in the final Coaches poll. RU was ranked as high as sixth and no lower than 12th in every poll last season.
Rutgers brings back the majority of last season's squad, including a trio of All-Americans (Gianna Glatz, Katie Larmour, Milena Redlingshoefer) and four all-Big Ten players (the same trio in addition to Kerrie Burns).
The Scarlet Knights went 9-6 last, were undefeated at home (6-0) for the first time since 1976 and went 5-3 in counted Big Ten Conference games, the best league record since joining the conference.
Rutgers claimed ranked wins over four top-ten teams (No. 4 Northwestern twice, No. 9 Penn State twice). The team won two games over NCAA Tournament teams. Over the past three seasons, the team now has eight wins over top-10 teams
