Tennis Edged in 4-3 Match at UMass

AMHERST, MASS.- Rutgers tennis was edged in a tight 4-3 decision on the road at UMass Saturday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights came back from a doubles point loss to record three singles victories in the setback.
Freshman Jackeline Lopez recorded her fourth straight singles victory of the year, earning a 6-2, 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot. Freshman Minchae Kim also registered her fourth win in singles play, picking up a strong 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 6 spot. Sophomore Alisa Prinyarux added a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 5 position for RU.
Rutgers remains on the road with a trip to UConn on Sunday. Match time is set for a 10:30 a.m. ET start in Storrs.
