PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics is set for its second consecutive home meet, hosting No. 17 Iowa, Ursinus, and Kent State on Friday, February 11 at Jersey Mike's Arena. The quad meet will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network+ and will be accompanied with live results. Follow @RUGymnastics on Twitter for live score updates from the meet.

PROMOTIONS

Friday marks the annual Pink Out meet for the Scarlet Knights, as well as Girl Scout Knight. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the meet as Rutgers supports Breast Cancer Awareness. The first 1,000 fans will receive their choice of a pink scrunchie or a pink face mask (while supplies last of each).

All NJ girl scouts who wear their sash or vest to the meet will receive a free phone wallet, and can enter to win a raffle prize exclusive to members of the Girl Scouts.

FREE ADMISSION AND PARKING

Admission and parking are free for all gymnastics home meets. For parking, fans are required to register their vehicle by clicking here. A one-time sign up will have the vehicle set for all home contests this season

Doors will open 90 minutes prior to the start at 5:30 p.m. ET. Proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of the event will be required for entry to all Rutgers Athletics indoor events (for all individuals above the age of five). RU'S LAST TIME OUT

Rutgers posted a 195.675 in its home tri meet on Friday, the ninth best overall score and fourth best home score in program history. RU finished second in the meet, defeating University of Alaska (191.825). No. 1 Michigan, the reigning NCAA Champions, took first with a 198.525.

The Scarlet Knights claimed three Top 3 finishes. Graduate Belle Huang placed second on floor, recording a career-high 9.975. Junior Hannah Joyner finished third on beam with a 9.900 and in all-around with a 39.325. Joyner also contributed a career-best 9.950 on floor.

Rutgers set the program record on vault, recording a program-best total of 49.275 in the event. On floor, the Scarlet knights registered the second-highest team score with a 49.350.

BIG TEN SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK

Following the tri meet, graduate Belle Huang was named a Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week, marking her second conference weekly honor of the season and her career. Huang posted career highs on floor (9.975) and vault (9.900), helping Rutgers post the program team record on vault and the second-highest team mark on floor.

REWRITING THE RECORD BOOK

Rutgers has recorded three top 10 scores in program history this season. The Scarlet Knights registered a season-high 195.750 at Ohio State, marking the seventh highest mark overall and fourth best road score. RU posted a 195.675 in its home tri meet with Michigan and Alaska, marking the ninth-best team total and fourth-best home score. In the victory over Maryland, Rutgers posted a 195.550, which at the time was the ninth-highest team score and still stands as the eighth-best road score for RU.

This season, the Scarlet Knights have also established a new program standard on vault, recording a 49.275 in the home tri meet with Michigan and Alaska. Additionally on vault, the team posted the fourth-best team score in program history with a 49.150 in the home opener and the sixth-best vault mark of 49.075 at Ohio State.

On floor, Rutgers recorded the second-highest team floor mark with a 49.350 in the home tri meet. In its home opener, RU posted a 49.250 as a team on floor, now the fifth best mark in the record book.
