New 50 Free Pool Record Set In Swimming & Diving Senior Day Victory Over Nebraska

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's swimming & diving concluded the dual meet season on Saturday picking up a 211-141 Big Ten victory over Nebraska at the Rutgers Aquatics Center.

| FROM THE POOL DECK |
- Sophomore Sofia (Lobova) Maksimova set a Rutgers Aquatics Center record in the 50 free in 22.35 besting the previous record of 22.79 set by Northeastern's Megan Clark in 2017.
- Rutgers also logged a pair of top-10 performances in the 100 back and 100 fly. Freshman Valeria Egorova moved up two spots into seventh all-time winning the 100 back in 53.87. Freshman Martyna Piesko, who already belongs to 200 back top 10 list, joined the 100 fly top times list clocking in at 54.41 with the ninth fastest time at RU.
- The Scarlet Knights also had victories by senior Sofia Chichaikina in the 200 free, Rachel Kimmel in the 200 back, Giulia Vittorioso on 3-meter and by the 400 medley and 400 free relay squads.

- Rutgers went 1-2 in both the 50 free, 100 back and 100 fly.
- Sofia (Lobova) Maksimova won the 50 free with a pool record of 22.45 with Sofia Chichaikina immediately following in second in 22.90.
- Valeria Egorova, meanwhile, won the 100 back in 53.87 for the seventh fastest time by a Scarlet Knight with Alice Scarabelli the event's runner-up in 54.45.
- Martyna Piesko hit the wall in 54.41 in the 100 fly for the ninth fastest time in the RU record book with a second-place showing by Sofia Maksimova in 54.71.
- Chichaikina earned victory in the 200 free posting time of 1:47.90.
- Rachel Kimmel was victorious in the 100 breast racing to a time of 1:01.32 while Tina Celik picked up a season-best 1:01.82 for third place.

- Both relay squads won with the 400 free relay of Sofia (Lobova) Maksimova, Sofia Chichaikina, Martyna Piesko and Alice Scarabelli leading the way in 3:21.50 and the 400 medley relay of Valeria Egorova, Rachel Kimmel, Piesko and Julia Bartoszewicz out in front in 3:40.46.

- Giulia Vittorioso won 1-meter scoring 280.05 for her second 1-meter crown of the season. Holly Prasanto was the runner-up with a score of 273.45.
