Distinguished Scholars Release Academic All-Big Ten Release

23 Academic All-Big Ten, Six Distinguished Scholars

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - 23 student-athletes from the men's lacrosse team earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. Eric Civetti, Ethan Rall, Bobby Russo and David Sprock were all recognized for the fourth time in their careers. 14 of the 23 student-athletes recognized have earned the accolade multiple times in their career. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students-athletes must have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additionally, six student-athletes were recognized as Big Ten Distinguished Scholars. The group included Eric Civetti, Jack Crosby, Andrew Kim, Justin Lawler, Ethan Rall and Mason Rickens. Distinguished Scholars must have earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition in the previous academic year, must have been enrolled full-time for the entire previous academic year (two semesters or three quarters), and earned a minimum GPA of 3.70 or better during the previous academic year.

In the spring semester, the men's lacrosse program had a cumulative GPA of 3.20. Four student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA: Brad Apgar, Ethan Rall, Eric Civetti and Mason Rickens. 18 student-athletes earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and 11 students earned Dean's List recognition.
