Women’s Lacrosse Readies for Midweek Matchup at Monmouth

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (0-1) faces Monmouth (0-1) on Wednesday afternoon. Depending on weather, the game will either take place at noon outside at Kessler Stadium in West Long Branch or inside at Capelli Sport Complex in Tinton Falls. If played outdoors at Kessler, Wednesday's matchup will stream on Flo College, with live stats also provided.

- The Scarlet Knights lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at Army to open their 2025 season on Saturday in West Point, N.Y. Tied 9-9 during the final possession of the game, the Black Knights scored with one second left In regulation, as Allison Reilly found Ryan Remaly to secure the win at Michie Stadium.

- Graduate student Lexie Coldiron shined in her Rutgers debut between the pipes, finishing with 13 saves. Her performance included eight stops in the second half and six saves in the final 10 minutes of the game.

- Junior Katie Buck muscled a career-high 11 draw controls against Army. It marked the first time a Scarlet Knight had double-digit draw controls since Meg Ball opened the 2023 season with 10 at Jacksonville and was the most in a single game since Ball produced 13 on March 14, 2021 against Drexel in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Junior Ava Chiarella produced the fourth multi-goal game of her career when she scored twice against the Black Knights.
- Classmate Lily Dixon registered three points on a goal and two assists – good for her 17th game with two or more points.

- Redshirt freshman Samantha Swanovich and freshmen Bianca Chiarella, Caroline Ling, Maddie Miceli, Delainey Sutley and Charlee Thomas made their respective career debuts on Saturday.
- Buck, Ling, Miceli and Swanovich all netted their first career collegiate goals.

- Danielle McNeely netted a hat trick in the loss.

- Wednesday ill be the 21st all-time meeting between Rutgers and Monmouth, with the Scarlet Knights leading the all-time series, 17-3. RU won last year's matchup, 11-7, at SHI Stadium.
