PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (6-3) returns home to host Temple (2-6) on Thursday night at SHI Stadium. First draw is set for 7 p.m., with the game streamed on Big Ten Plus.

Thursday marks the last non-conference game of the season, as the Scarlet Knights will close the regular season with seven consecutive Big Ten Conference opponents.

Last Time Out

The Scarlet Knights muscled a 10-6 victory at Oregon to open Big Ten Conference action on Sunday in Eugene. RU held the Ducks to just two goals in the final 30 minutes of action and forced 14 turnovers to secure their first league win of the season.
Junior Lily Dixon finished with a team-high three points on two goals and an assist, while senior Alexa Corbin and freshman Caroline Ling both had two scores. Ling was one of four rookies to net goals against Oregon, joining Caitlin Collins, Hilary Elsner and Delainey Sutley.
Freshman Bianca Chiarella caused a game-high three turnovers, While Dixon added two. Graduate goalkeeper Lexie Coldiron registered her sixth win of the season with five saves and just six goals allowed.

What to Know

Rutgers moved to No. 20 in this week's USA Lacrosse Magazine poll - one of six Big Ten programs in the poll this week (No. 3 Northwestern, No. 5 Maryland, No. 10 Johns Hopkins, No. 14 Michigan, No. 17 Ohio State).
The Scarlet Knights have faced three ranked opponents in their last five games, including matchups with No. 4 Yale (L, 12-6), No. 16 Stony Brook (W, 12-11) and No. 12 Princeton (L, 20-8). RU is also set to face No. 3 Northwestern, No. 4 Maryland, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 11 Michigan, No. 19 Ohio State and No. 21 USC this season.
Coldiron has been one of the top netminders in the country this season, leading the country in saves with 103. Coldiron is also first in the conference and sixth nationally with 11.44 saves per game and fourth nationally with a .551 save percentage.
Junior Katie Buck is fourth in the conference and 20th nationally with 7.22 draw controls per game. Her 65 draw controls are fourth in the Big Ten this season.
Dixon needs 11 points to become the 28th player in school history to hit 100 for her career.
Senior Madison Karpe needs six ground balls to hit 100 for her career.

About Temple

The Owls enter Thursday after losing at South Florida, 15-9, last Saturday in Tampa.
Goalkeeper Taylor Grollman is fourth in the country in saves (92) and fifth in saves per game (11.50).
Temple leads the all-time series, 23-9. Rutgers has won the last two matchups with the Owls, including a 15-9 victory on March 8, 2022 in Philadelphia.
